In 1.21 -1.41 the theme changed to a christmas theme amd 4 girls are dancing including Ariana. In my opinion this scene is introuduced because when the video was published, it was near christmas.
Over shoulder shots are used when Ariana is looking at her book list with the guys that she liked. This is trying to show the lists of guys she liked.
2.07 to 2.47 it has the cheering scene with the cheerleader team. This could suggest that they are cheering to the poeple who's listening to this video, they could showing their support.
